Japan’s Mizuho Bank has awarded TYPICA with the Mizuho Innovation Award for the first quarter of 2023, a prize that recognizes promising innovative businesses.

TYPICA established a Coffee Expert Team in April 2023, with a goal of facilitating direct trade of green beans for coffee businesses of all sizes. A member of the team received a plaque from Mizuho Bank’s Managing Executive Officer Naoto Ohitsu.

■ About Mizuho Innovation Award
Mizuho Bank inaugurated the award in 2017 to support the growth of startups carrying out innovative projects. The bank chooses award winners every quarter based on the competitiveness of their business model, team strength, and growth potential. Winners receive a range of support from the bank, including business matching with large firms.
