Japan’s industry ministry names TYPICA in subsidy program

We’re proud to announce that Japan’s industry ministry has accepted TYPICA into a subsidy program. Our initiative to enhance the sustainability of coffee-growing countries has earned us a place in the ministry’s Emerging Countries Digital Transformation and New Business Creation Support Subsidy.

Last year, TYPICA kick-started the innovative “Listing Deposit” program in Bolivia, targeted at improving both the quantity and quality of coffee production. This initiative equips small-scale farmers with operational funds and investment for infrastructure. This deposit is subsequently reimbursed from the income generated from coffee sales via TYPICA’s platform. (Find more details about this venture here.)

In 2023, we’re looking forward to strengthening our ties with the Bolivian coffee mill, Nayra Qata. We’re also gearing up to launch surveys in collaboration with El Salvador’s CaféNor and Cuba’s UEB Agroforestal for prospective business opportunities there. Our ongoing mission is to create a space where coffee producers can invest boldly in expanding their operations and seeking sales and export prospects, without the burden of financial concerns.

The emphasis is on the integration of digital technology to enable the birth of new businesses, thereby addressing societal challenges.
