Join us on a sourcing trip to Acacia Hills in Tanzania

Dear Coffee Roasters,

We’re thrilled to offer you an exciting opportunity! Here at TYPICA, we believe in forming deep connections with our coffee partners, and today, we invite you to join us on a special journey to the heart of Tanzanian coffee excellence – Acacia Hills.

Acacia Hills Coffee Estate: Where Coffee Meets Dedication

Let’s talk about Acacia Hills, a place in Tanzania that’s more than just a coffee farm – Leon and Aideen, the dynamic duo who own Acacia Hills, have been our partners for years. Their passion for crafting outstanding coffee is nothing short of inspiring. We can’t wait to share their story with you!

Why Acacia Hills?

Leon’s farm, Acacia Hills, was listed as a winner in the results of a private auction in Tanzania sponsored by ACE (The Alliance for Coffee Excellence) Leon’s story is the history of coffee production in northern Tanzania itself, and it also vividly reflects the future of specialty coffee in Tanzania.

Challenges and Wildlife

Acacia Hills’ proximity to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area brings both advantages and unique challenges. Wild animals like elephants and buffaloes occasionally affect the farm, adding to the journey’s complexity. Additionally Acacia Hills is part of  the Ngorongoro Coffee Group, a group that aims to give value to the area as a coffee production land. We are going to have the safari experience during this journey.

Leon’s message
Hello everybody. It’s Leon Christianakis from Acacia Hills. We’d love to welcome you to the farm to both the Acacia Hills and Tembo Tembo next door to show you a little bit of northern Tanzania. During the visit, we’ll be able to show you all our different coffee processes and basically all the operations that we do on the coffee farms here. We will show you all the measures we take to preserve the quality of the coffee that we produce. As they say, in Tanzania, Karibu Tanzania, which means Welcome.
