Nayra Qata, a dry mill for small-scale producers. Established independently by Juan, who worked at Agricafe in La Paz, Bolivia. They have micro lots from small-scale producers, which are rarely found in the world yet.
Juan’ s ambition is to shine a light on smallholders in Bolivia who are still unknown to the world. Many smallholders come to Juan’ s dry mill with their coffees. He can judge the quality correctly, process it properly, manage lots, and deliver them to coffee markets around the world. From a roasters’ point of view, Juan is the only point of contact for smallholders in Bolivia that no one knows yet.Narratives
Agricafe is one of the best and leading coffee producer in Bolivia. They have produced commodity coffees but has started producing specialty coffees about 15 years ago. Don Pedro, the founder of Agricafe, was one of the people who brought the Cup of Excellence to Bolivia, which opened Bolivia’s coffee to the world.
Pedro Pablo, the son of Don Pedro, states “In terms of coffee quality, the most important thing for us is ‘clean cup.’ In recent years, various processing methods and fermentations have become popular but we value washed process with ‘clean cup’ the most."
Sincere and faithful to their customers and friends, and above all, open-minded and receptive to new technologies and sensibilities. With a strong will, they are willing to change and cooperate with new initiatives, while preserving a perfectly organized world.Narratives
